Well they called them "one-year terms" but they usually end up being around 14-18 months.

thats bad one year our guys only go for 6 months but could be going to afghanistan next year

Yea I know how bad that sucks. My brother-in-law has served 3 one-year terms there and my sister(his wife) is leaving in october for her first term.
