hey guys. anyone around? im sitting on a 4 month, 20 day good streak here and its threatening to break. its the middle of the night for me, and i don't really have anyone to call. i'm at work, but we have blades here, and i'm not really doing anything important tonight. i'm lettting stupid boy drama screw with my head. well, actually its my boyfriends ex girlfriend that likes to pop up and cause trouble (threats, crying, threatening suicide, etc). question: does anyone else find themselves picking fights in the hopes of having an excuse to cut? thats been nagging at me, and i have to squash it almost daily. i'm listening to 3OH!3 on my mp3 player. i like them just downloaded their stuff the other day on a whim....so now i'm just rambling. -- His arms are my castle <3 We at TWLOHA believe that rescue is possible, and are committed to communicating hope to others who know the daily struggle of living in a broken world. www.twloha.com |

Thats good she~she. =] I'm glad calling your friends helps you. It helps me too. Like sometimes if I have a really strong urge that even I'm having trouble controlling, I'll call one of my best friends and just be like, "quick talk to me!"

I feel like telling you girls how much I really do care about you all right now. Those of you who self-harm, and those of you that do not...I really do care about you.
Life is hard, believe me I know that all to well....but I truly believe that you can make it through any hard trial or moment with support from friends to hold you up. I am always going to be here to be that support for anyone who asks or anyone I see who needs it.

mm well i play guitar like crazy to distract, last night i wore my snow patrol pick down to a nub which im not happy about, but really this only works for a limited amount of time

That's good. I'm glad you girls have also found other outlets to use during triggers.
I sing (a lot), write poetry (a lot of it), draw (i'm actually really good at that), or go outside for a walk.
Those are good ideas.
We should all keep giving ideas for distractions. =]

i have a lot of tiggers. but i use my ability of the "arts" to cope.
If I'm at home I either dance in my pointe shoes or playmy piano.
but if I'm not home I imagine complicated dance steps on pointe in my head. or "play" my invisible, imaginary piano.
it sounds crazy, but it works.
i also used to write poetry in my head and turn them into a song. but I'm not a decent singer...sooo yeaaa lol

Awesome idea. I don't self harm, so I'll be one of the supporters! =)
