The Japanese have the mindset to where they will fight til the death and until they have no men left to fight. By us dropping WMD's on them, we ended the war immediately. I agree, we killed thousands of "innocent" lives but we also saved millions of lives - American and otherwise.

Let's talk about back during WWII when we nuked the Japanese. Do you agree with that move that the US made?

Oh and that link didn't work.

This is a price we do not have to pay. There are viable and more effective alternatives. For these reasons, I have introduced House Concurrent Resolution 473, which urges the United States to re-engage the diplomatic process and stresses our government's commitment to the U.N. inspections process. Containment and inspections have worked and can work in the future.

it's called peace keep.
discussions.
the un.
treaties.

there are so many alternatives to going and attacking another country and killing innocent civilians.

So then what would you rather us do, rather than go to war?

Name one alternative.

Well I suppose that's where we differ; I think Iraq is doing much better. Ask the men and women who have served multiple tours; the Iraqi people appreciate us being there and we are helping them, not hurting them.

Oh and we didn't make a "mess". The terrorists who murdered thousands of innocent people started the problem and now we are taking care of it. Like we should have done over a decade ago when things first got out of hand.

Actually, there have been no nuclear weapons found in Iraq. All we did in Iraq was disband the Taliban and off their leader. We're not fighting the terrorists behind 9/11.

Also, the Iraqis aren't happy. Only a third of them think our presence in their country is helpful.

I think that Iraq was poorly executed. That's what I think. Iraq seems worse off before than when we started. Sure, they may have been housing weapons, but they're obviously not now and now we're stuck fixing a mess that shouldn't have been made in the first place.

BTW, I may not post as fast as I have before because I'm doing my homework and posting here at the same time. So don't think I'm abandoning the debate or anything. :D

It's cool. I'm fixing to go eat dinner anyways. :)

They're are currently treaties that prevent other countries from starting nuclear weapon countries. There are only a select few countries (America and Russia included) that are allowed to keep their past made weapons.

He can't possibly prevent us form going to war. Obama is stressing try to avoid war if possible.

And we're already trying to get rid of nuclear weapons in various countries that "arent' supposed to".

So if he's a pacifist, he's going to prevent us from going to war. Kind of like Clinton did back during the '93 bombings of the trade towers and look at where we are now.

Whether he is going to disarm us or slow us down, he plans on getting rid of worldwide nuclear weapons. That's never going to happen. He's never going to get rid of all nuclear weapons and even if he did get rid of all existing WMD's, he can't erase the fact that people will still know how to make them. By slowing us down, he's only setting us up for another disaster.

Oi, Obama is a pacifist. Obviously he's going to bring pacifistic views in the society.

He didn't say he will "disarm" us. He said he's going to "significantly slow" the process of making nuclear weapons.

I couldn't hear all to well. The quality is kind of bad or there's something wrong with my speakers.
