No, no, no, haha. That's what I'm saying. As of now, I'm not eating an processed meat, or in other words, I'm not eating any meat "raised for food."
It's cruel. You can totally see the fear in the animals eyes as it sruggles to stand with it's head practically dangling from it's neck from having it's neck slit to allow all the blood to drain out [kosher].
I know not ALL beef is like that, but from the videos and pics I have seen of butcher houses across America, conditions there are all to the same.

I will only eat wild game now. At leas those animals were fed, watered, and excersised everyday in the open world. At least their death was quick and they didn't even know what hit them. No natsy hormones and chemicals added...just meat. Just wild meat.

I'm NOT KIDDING-I'm literally sitting here eating some carrot sticks I sliced up a couple minutes ago.

im not trying to sound mean at all but why would you feel sad about eating a baby cow. it's just like any other animal you would eat. if it was a full grown cow would you eat it? if youre not going to eat a baby cow might as welll not eat any meat at all. there is no difference they're all animals.

yes veal is terrible! dont beat yourself up too much because you didnt know before you ate it. just avoid veal. i dont want you to make it worse but whats the worst part is the way they are treated before they are killed....

Calves raised for veal are taken from their mothers immediately after birth and raised so as to deliberately induce borderline anemia. Calves are then denied basic needs, including access to their mother's milk, access to pasture and exercise and often prohibited from any movement at all in order to produce the pale-colored flesh for which veal is coveted.

this is what made me seriously consider never eating meat again. it makes me sick.

I'm dead serious. Aside from eating meat that my dad and I kill [wild game that dies before it knows what hit it]...
I'm becoming a vegetarian. Not kidding. From here on out, NO processed meat.

awe sorry hun! I could never be vegetarian but a freaking baby cow?! That is so messed up. Like who could just do that to a baby cow? My granny told me that she used to make us these pizza things and she'd put veal, venison, and mix it with ground hamburger and put it on the pizza. It's like omg I ate bambi. lol I felt soo bad about it for like a week. Then I was like whatever. I don't think I'll ever eat venison if I know about it but some people do eat it and it's just yeah.

I'm just rambling and I have no idea how this is supposed to make you feel better. I suck.

But as soon as I saw this it made me think of this south park episode where Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Butters steal all the baby cows so they won't be killed and made into veal steaks. It's total win. =]

Wow. I have trouble eating any type of meat now, but if someone told me I was eating baby cow I would vomit. Sorry you had to eat it. You should have just decided that you suddenly weren't hungry or weren't feeling well! That's what I would have done.

I just ate a baby cow!

OMG! I feel soooo bad!
Okay, here's what went down:
My dad was making one of his usual delicious dinners [he's quite literally like a gormet chef] and he made a yummy ceasar salad as an appetizer. I asked him what we were having for the main dish and he said "it's a meat covered in tomato sauces, and expensive cheeses". It sounded purdy yummy. I mean, I'd eaten plenty of different kinds of meat, wild or not. Anything from dove, antelope, elk, pheasent, quail, rabbit, even rattlesnake, and these are all normal things for us to eat...
So he says "dinners ready" and we go into the kitchen to get some of whatever it is. I ask "so what kind of meat is this?" And he says "it's called veal." I asked what was veal, and he says "it's baby cow".
I just stared at him with my mouth slightly open in shock.
I picked out the tiniest piece of could see and walked back to my TV tray.
I looked at it...and I couldn't stop picturing a little tiny cow like the kinds we see in the fields driving by with their momma cows...I cut a small piece, took a bite, and a tear slipped out from my eyes and down my cheek...I'm not kidding, I ACTUALLY CRIED. After I quickly finished my small piece, I took my plate in then walked to my bedroom and got quite teary-eyed.

I feel kinda stupid crying over dinner...but PLEASE, someone make me feel better about about it, please?
My dad could only say, "I know how you feel, Katie, but it's what the cow was bred for."

UGH!
