whatever you do, make sure you brush & floss!!! [after you feel a little better of course]
unfortunately i didn't as much as i should of and i had to get gum extraction surgery, where they literally cut my gums with a knife. THAT was painful. i couldn't drink anything but water for 4 days, and i couldn't eat anything hot or cold for like 2 weeks. yuck.

i hate brushing after i eat. it takes forever.
sadly, i dont have any of that stuff.
i need them for about 16 months. my orthodontist likes to go more then the regular time. i guess just to make sure everything it ok.

I got them on about a month ago. They hurt a ton when I got them on too! But it went away after 5 days. Then, I could chew again.
My advice: don't try to chew, it will only make it worse. Eat soft foods like yogurt, icecream, mashed potatoes, applesauce, mac n' cheese, etc.
I need them on for 16 months. 15 more to go!! Ha. I haven't got the wires changed yet, but your mouth will probably hurt for 2-3 days each time for that.

i took some ibuprofen earlier.
that helped.
i dont get mine of tell next november or september. i only need them for 14-16 months.

oh, and take advil. =)
the pain stops after awhile but comes back sometimes when the wires are changed or your orthodontist tightens them.

well in the middle of it i had to have oral surgery for an impacted tooth.
Eat soft foods, girl. pudding, applesauce, soup, ice cream, milkshakes, jello, etc.

omg. today it hurts so bad. i was trying to eat and it hurt just to bite down. my mouth has been in the same position for 3 hours. they hurt.
3 years. jeeze thats a long time. did u need a pengilum or head gear?

I've had braces for three years, and I finally get them off in july.
they suck. sorry girl.

i have top and bottom. and i need them for 16 months.
my teeth are crocked but my mouth is more of a bite problem. ugh it hurts sooooooo bad. i like feel my teeth moving. IT HURTS UGH. i dont even get colors yet. or my rubber bands.

oh gosh, apparently my whole mouth was messed up but i didn't know! haha i DEFINITELY feel your pain! i just got new brackets added on and a new wire on monday and it hurts soooo bad, i can't eat anything! i only have the top, i get the bottom on in about a month and then i have them for 2 years  -- life isn't about finding yourself; life is about creating yourself. ♥ rebecca. 15! been here a while, different accounts. ♥ |
