Hey, I'm a competetive triathlete, and i used to have the same thing happen to me aaalll the time. i found it was because i was drinking too much water or eating too much before i ran. working out on an empty stomach is'nt good for you but neither is working out on a full stomach. If you don't think that's the case i don't know what to tell you.. lol but when you get the cramp try stretching out the area and moving your arms to help it go away, but try to do it while runnning. Only stop to make the cramp go away if it is unbearable.

Good luck! :)

ok well i have just started cross country training and i have been doing a lot better than i expected...this is my first year and im going to be a senior so i want to do well.....
but i have run into a problem... i have started to get a terrible side stitch whenever i run...its terrible. it feels like a knife going into my stomach... i tried stopping and streching my stomach but when i started running it would come right back...
has this happened with anyone else?? do you have ANY advice on how to prevent this form happening??? its so painful!!!

thank you!
