My family and I, still, hasn't put any Christmas decorations.. and my mom told me that it is still too early for decorations. And I guess I have to agree with her, I don't even want to put some Christmas lights on the day after All Soul's Day. We'll probably put some at mid-November -just like how other people here in our subdivision do.

it seems like it gets earlier and earlier every year. Although Christmas stuff usually does go on sale about this time. But you are right, poor Thanksgiving always gets overlooked

Apparently its the whole recession thing. People aren't going to go out and splurge on new xmas decorations etc because money is tight, so if they put them out early peopl will go "oh i will just get this little thing" and the next time "just this little thing" and then they get more sales!

I don't celebrate Christmas,so I wouldn't know. They're probably trying to sell all the Christmas presents early, because everyone all gets them up to five months before Christmas. -- The future Mrs.Vatsal Seth (or Ranbir Kapoor.Whoever I hook up with first). I went to the mall day before yesterday and they already had Christmas posters and decorations up! It wasn't even Halloween! Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. But when Christmas starts two months early, it gets old quickly. In Hollister they were playing a pop version of Silver Bells. Thank God it was just one song and not a whole Christmas CD. I probably would have thrown down my 20% off coupon and left. Well, maybe not, considering Hollister never gives out coupons. But still, my point remains. Why is there a need to thrust Christmas upon Americans so early? Is it to sell more presents? But isn't that an awful reason? Poor old Thanksgiving, never getting any time to shine.
