YES. You have to go to the Gyno and get an exam before you can get on birth control. But it isn't bad. It's uncomfortable during the exam but the whole exam last about 1-3 minutes. And then their done.

If your period flow is heavy and you have really bad cramps, then maybe you should ask your mom to take you.

im not sure if you HAVE to but it might be a good idea to make sure you are ok to actaully go on it
i had the exam before getting on it and it really wasnt that bad at all. one part may be a little uncomfortable but it really only lasts like a minute. then the rest of the time my gyno and i just talked about what pill would be best and my past history and all that then it was over.
