wrong usually means that it's not in far enough.
the tampon applicator will follow the slant of the vagina; but if you push really hard like straight up it can hurt. Just let it slip in and ease it in the direction that it wants to go.
And make sure you insert it far enough inside of you!

okay heres a website, see the picture on the right of the screen? that may help you determine the right angle.... & if your sitting on the toilet insterting a tampon put the tampon at a slight angle.

But how do know the exact angle to put it in as? So not exactly straight up...but slanted?

it will basically be uncomfortable if it is in at the wrong angle& if its not in far enough. The best way to insert the tampon is to aim towards your lower back& push the tampon applicator in as far as the "finger grip" if your tampon has one.

The title is the question. People say it can hurt if you put a tampon in wrong, but what do you mean by wrong? Is it at a bad angle. not in far enough? There seems to be only one way it can go, so there shouldn't be a "wrong" way, and yet there is.
