oh gosh seriously....i completely agree....irregularity truly sux. i get my period every month, around the same time....sometimes i am a week or so later than i expect, but i always know cuz my boobs hurt like a week before. when i first started i got my second one like 42 days after my first and i wasnt expecting it, then i missed the next month and got my peirod again....it was weirdd... -- ~ no longer a member of the periodless club as of 12/08/08~  ~used my first tampon 10/08/09 and can't believe I didnt try it before! if you havent tried a tampon go for it!~ class of 2012 <3 fruit loop fan club member <3 |

i am really irregular too. i just got my first period in august (lasted 8 days!) and it didn't come in september, and it hasn't come this month yet (this month is almost over.. doubt its gonna come lol). so hopefully it will come next month. i am always constantly worried about when its going to come everyday & im always afraid im going to leak since im not prepared for when it will come since im irregular! but yeah. its really annoying, but i guess we just have to deal with it ]: -- ~Someone♥♪ Girlspace member since November 2006. *No longer a member of the peirodless club! 8/12/09* *Member of the Vegetarian Clique* *Girlspace friends: kaflute13, Dance_Lover, JaCee101, derrington321, Fabulous here x, irishdancr, jilliannn |

It can take 2-3 years to become regular. It's normal to skip a few months. I started my period a year ago and I'm still not regular, I havent skipped more than a month though.
You should go to a doctor when you don't get your period for like 6 months to a year.

so far ive gotten my period every month, but it comes at really random times. but so far ive always known. i mean when i go to the bathroom (and this is gonna get really awkward) & err..wipe? its a little bloody the day before my period. then the next day i wear a pantiliner. then the day after that its usually a pretty steady flow

I highly doubt it's anything to worry about. You just started your period this year. You can't expect to be regular right away. It can take quite a few years for some girls. I mean, I've had my period for six years, and I still miss out on the odd period every once in awhile.
You also mentioned that you've had stress in your life recently.(Sorry to hear about your relative! I give my condolences to you and your family.) This could be a factor. As I said, I wouldn't really worry about it. Give your body some time to get used to the idea of menstruating on a regular basis.
As for your other questions...
I'm not sure when the best time to go to a doctor would be, but I'd keep an eye out for any symptoms to give you an idea.
I've gone for over a month without a period, but I've never missed two in a row. I have, however, missed two this year, which is strange for me. Oh well.
I've never gone to the doctor about irregularity.

ugh i know. isnt it soo annoying. i havent had a period since july and like everyday i am worrying whether its coming that day or not! :/ -- ** there are only 3 things in life a girl needs: love to make her weak alcohol to make her strong best friends when both make her hit the floor ** i swear to drunk im not God. lol &&. i'm not your average girl. |

OK... you've probably heard something like this a million times before D:
So I started my period back in April. here's how my period has been~
April- Period
May- NONE
June- Period
July- Period
August- Period
September- NONE
October- NONE (so far.. probably not going to get it this month)

okie dokie... to get to the point
is it okay to go 50 or more days without a period? (because i have D: )
when is the best time to go to the doctor (like month wise without a period) if you havent had a period in an extremely long itme?
last but not least...
since most of you that read this were probably irregular at some point, how long have you gone without a period?
Did anyone of you go to the doctor?
What did the doctor say?
I hear that if your diet changes or if you have a lot of stress it can make you irregular
i've had some stress lately because my relative recently died, and ive been eating a little more since i did in summer.
