it's your period, your choice, simple as that there are some rules that are just there to be broken, this is one of them it's not fair of your mum to expect you to not use tampons just because she doesn't agree with it, especially seeing as you're mature and know what you're doing. just buy your own tampons and use them, don't worry about what your mum thinks, it's really your choice, not hers good luck  -- i am amy and i love riding this rollercoaster called life (: |

i was in the same situation as you, so i just did it behind her back and i love them. i figured, its my body, so its my decision. period. -- ~ no longer a member of the periodless club as of 12/08/08~ ~used my first tampon 10/08/09 and can't believe I didnt try it before! if you havent tried a tampon go for it!~ class of 2012 <3 fruit loop fan club member <3 |

The only solution is to go ahead and use them. It's not your mom's choice, it's yours. I mean, what is she gonna do about it? She can't exactly make you stop using them.
I know you're scared to use them without permission, but like I said, what is she gonna do? Watch you while you're on your period to make sure you don't use them? I doubt it.
Don't feel bad about it. You'll like them muchhhh better than pads. And again, it's not her choice, it's yours.

I've tried.
I have explained to her that i know you can get TSS and I know how to insert them.
I have told her i only want to use them when I workout or I am active for some reason.
She just refuses to let me use them !

Well, if you use them correctly, then they're painless, and they save sooo much effort. Just explain to her that you would be alot more comfortable using them, and they they can't cause any harm. They're simple enough to use once you get the hang of them.

She jus refuses to let me use tampons! she said i could hurt myself and there hard to learn to use and so I can't use them til I am like in College!!! ITS NOT FAIR! I think i should b able to use what i want since it is my body. And I am too afraid to use them without permission. ITS JUST NOT FAIR!!
