eww I hate those permenent retainers! I used to have one, but i broke it thrice sooo they gave me a proper retainer =]

Butum yea, i think you should just have that. Only really special cases have both

Yeah, the bottom wire is a permanent retainer, I have one. (:

They should've fitted it for you so that it would fit right and not hurt. I'd go back and get one fitted right, because it shouldn't be THAT hard to take out. Did they make a mold of your mouth?

yeah like you said it's probably one of those retainers you can't take off. just take some aspirin. you'll make it lol.

no they took them off like they put on this metal bar on the inside of my bottom teeth? when they were using theyre orthodontist lingo it was like a 3 by 3 or something? like a retainer sorta thing? cept it doesnt come off till they take it off

yea i have nails tho but it hurts a lot oww. ok ill have to wait then thanks

wait what metal thing on the inside of your bottom teeth? like you still have braces or what? o.O i have the clear retainer for my top teeth too lol. it's kinda hard to take out at first, especially if you dont have nails. and it'll kinda hurt for a little bit. give it a week and you'll get used to it.

so i just got my braces off on tuesday and today they gave me clear retainer for the top but they didnt mean to i have no idea... im getting a different one next month.

1) am i supposed to be getting a retainer for the bottoms when i have that metal thing on the inside of my bottom teeth?
and 2) the clear retainer i only wear over night and ive tried putting it in and it hurts and its soooo hard to take out! and that hurts me a lot!! is that supposed to happen/what can i do to make this less painful and easier?
