Shrinks can't do that! I go see a shrink and if i popped pills she wouldn't be able to tell my parents. She's be able to tell a suicide hotline, a mental hospital and places like that, but she wouldn't legally be able to tell a citizen. Which is what my parents are considered. The only thing they'd be able to tell your parents if is you were inflicting physical pain on yourself which doesn't include pills. My Shrink told me so!

I know we have all been helping you to not be afraid of them telling your parents but we are very worried about the issue itself. So please, dont do it anymore. It doesnt matter what happeneds with your doctor, if your still doing it, that is your biggest problem at the time. So please be care and know we all care about you here.

Yeah, unless it's a school counselor, they legally can't tell your parents.
Doctor-patient confidentiality.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, but you might want to consider telling them anyway.

nope. cutting harms but they arent allowed to tell about that it. if a patient tells their therapist that they killed someone the doctor isnt allowed to tell.

I'm pretty sure if you were still doing the drugs, the doctor would be allowed to tell your parents, regardless of the doctor/patient confidentiality(spelling?) because it could potentially harm you.

skinnyjeans is right too, my doctor tryed that and i was way to scared to tell me parents so i didnt and neither did she

first of all, its doctor patient confidentiality, yuor doctore cant tell your parents anything without you saying its ok. And i think your parents might be alittle more supportive than you think. I told my mom about my problem and she was just very nice about it and she was trying to give me more attention so that I wouldnt do it again.
she's right. they are not legally allowed to tell you parents anything unless you allow them to. most likely they are trying to scare you into doing it.

Look I know that you must be scared out of your mind right now and freaked that your parents are gonna kill you and you'll never see the light of day again, but trust me. I have had to tell my parents something just as bad, and it was the hardest thing that i've ever done, but in the end, it all turned out for the better. If your parent really love you, and i'm sure they do, they'll help you work through this. they may be upset in the beginning, but once they get through the initial shock, they will look at what's the best way for you to work through this. it'll be okay. we'll be here for you

I went to see a psychiatrist earlier, and i talked about me taking drugs.. and they wwant me to tell my parents. And if I don't,they will. So monday we'Re going back and they're gonna tell them. My life is going to be officially over. I wont eb able to go out or anything. THey said they were gonna talk to my parents and tell them not to be rough on me or give me a bad punishment..that they were gonna talk it through. But still.. Im dead!!! I cant do this...
what should i do i cant stop crying!!!!
