maybe just be like i think we should be more open then we are
maybe hes been hurt before so thats why he is like that maybe be more open with him too

tell him exactly what you just wrote.
if he still doesnt open up then just let it be. if you push him he will most likely just get made.

How can i get my bf to tell me how he is feeling or when somethings on his mind that is buggin him? Because he dosent usually tell me those things and i want him to be more open about stuff like that. I really care about him and i want to help him when something is wrong but i cant when i dont know what the problem is.
