Hey girl! Congratulations. I think you made a great choice of going to get your GED. GED arent for retarded people....thats just silly. People will talk but hey let them talk right? Finally, I've been waiting since October for my diploma, and I just got it TODAY IN THE MAIL!! I'm so relieved! No more school to worry about, no more anything. I'm enrolling in a community college here in town next semester, and on top of that I already work full time- 40 hours a week + benefits to pay for my upcoming classes. I'm only 17, and everything is falling into place, my boyfriend is 22, and just started firefighter training, and he'll have no problem getting hired due to the fact that he's massive and stronger than a bull! Hahah! Let's see I'm not pregnant! :D And everything is great! Idk, do you girls think I made a smart decision- getting my GED, I mean with the way the economy is headed I couldn't afford to be in school for another year and a half right? The only sucky part is that all my old 'friends' from school have nasty rumors going around town that I'm a drop out and that GED's are for retarded people (Apparently that's what I am?) Or that I got pregnant and my boyfriend's in jail now and I'm either going to get an abortion or I'm having it- I haven't heard the latest HA! It's just so ridiculous how some people can be, I mean here I am balancing a full time job getting paid 11.50/hour which isn't horrible, and all done with school. I mean if you ask me I think anyone who says anything is just jealous that maybe there not smart enough to go against the current of things-- get out of the cycle. You don't need high school, GED's are exactly the same, you just get out earlier & easier! Whatever what do you think? -- bring me flowers & talk for hoursღ |
