I'm thinking about trying them...they don't seem too hard. And if I eventually get a cup, I'll have some kind of experience inserting something similar....kind of. idk. =P

However, my periods have been way light recently, so I've been too scared to put a tampon in. I'm afraid it'll be dry or something. But I don't mind. I;m going to the beach tomorrow, but......don't have my period. Yey!

I love the ob tampons. They are so small and discrete. But the tampon is the same size as a tampax or playtex, except they just have applicators.

I use the regular the the super but for some reason the super plus hurt going in and out on my heavy days. But other than that I love them. The carrying cases are also really trendy.

It should go up far enough, unless your fingers are as short as a baby's =p
keep pushing it until you don't feel it anymore.

i don't really care for them, just because they're a pain to get in and i can never get them in all the way.

You can buy them at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, just about anywhere =]

Pros-
Better for the environment, discreet to carry, good protection, comfy.

Cons-
Slightly difficult when you first begin to use them, can be kind of messy [like the other person said]

I used them for 2 months, but after that the just got to be a hassle. Honestly, applicator tampons are ALOT easier. I would recommend Playtex Sport

Right now, o.b is my favourite... so i might be a bit biased. xD

pros: it's so tiny which makes it discreet and easier to insert. there's also one less step for inserting a tampon, I'm a klutz with applicators and have to use both hands. -.-
Also, it expands into a round shape different than other tampons so there's a lot less leaks, and since you use a finger to insert, you have more control. i've never had it hurt putting it in or taking it out.
plus it's more environmental. =]]

cons: it takes a bit of getting used to, and can be a bit messy if you have a very heavy flow.

ob was the first that i sucessfully used, so i think you'll be ok. In some countries non applicator tampons are the norm...

O.B. tampons

Jun 30, 2009 9:59 PM

Pros and Cons?

Do you like them or no? Why?
I ordered a free sample, but haven't gotten it yet. I know its a "no applicator" tampon so do you think i would be okay, even though its my first tampon?

Thanks!
