Every year, when the final bell rings on the last day of school, summer seems so full of promise. The possibilities are endless! You might go on vacation, meet a new friend or two, read a great book … who knows? But it always seems that when fall rolls around, you look back at your three months off and wonder, “What did I do?”

Maybe you slept in, lay by the pool or chatted on the computer, all of which is great – there is always room for some down time on summer vacation. But think about what you did to make the summer stand out. Does anything come to mind?

This year take a moment to think about what you can do this summer that will really make a difference. Then add a comment to tell us about it. Volunteer to walk the neighborhood dogs, start your own babysitting business, volunteer your time to a community project … it’s summer – the possibilities are endless!

Until next time,
Miss Maxi

I really want to change for the better this summer. I have been trying for a long time to lose weight and finally this summer I am not busy and I really need to do it now before it gets too late! To be where I am supposed to be at a healthy weight, about 25 pounds must be lost. However that can happen over about three months... I don't know, but I will try as hard as I can to get as far as I can! I am a sophomore this year and I don't have an official babysitting job, just one here and there, so I figure this is really my last free summer. Obviously next year I'm going to need to get a job and after that for most of the rest of my life I will have one. My mom told me to enjoy one of the last summers left. After all, I am still a kid inside!
yep i know how my summer will change me i hav to loos 40-50 pounds any suggestions
