Welcome to Girlspace®, where girls can share about periods, boys, shoes ... whatever.
Everyone’s family can be a nuisance at times. Maybe your brother listens in on your telephone calls, your dad wears those goofy pants and your mom insists on calling your friend’s parents to make sure they’ll be home during her party.

Yes, family can be quirky and a little embarrassing. But for the most part, your family is there for you. Just mention some guy picking on you at lunch, and your brother is all over it. Dad is always ready with a corny joke to cheer you up when you’re down. And you know you could go to Mom with any one of a thousand dilemmas (girl-related or otherwise) and she’d take time to sit down and help you through it.

With the holidays approaching, it’s the perfect time of year to realize just how great family is and how thankful we are to have them by our side. Add a comment to tell us about your family – who’s a part of it, what they do that really drives you nuts, and what they do that just makes you super-thankful they’re around.

Happy holidays! Until next time,

Hi, my name is Alexis and I do have an annoying family. First of all my dad! He is such a nuisance! He's embarrassing 2. Like he has this thing where he says, "Okay, see you later, going to down to the lab". It's where he "pushes an elevator button" and he goes down without moving. But he has to do it behind a wall. But the worst part is, he does it in front of my friends! He's an alcoholic to! Its scary but the bad thing is that that's the only time he's nice. :( So now to my mom. MAN! She is so paranoid ALL the time!!!! Like right now, she is checking my hair for lice. She won't get over it that its just dandruff!! Also she likes to control how my dad spends his money. HE is really nice when he wants to be, and I love him for that. MY dad is a millionaire and my mom hates it when he buys me and my friends stuff. Like last month for example. My dad bought my friend Chelsea a Nintendo D.S. and three games. Well sometimes he thinks that I'm using him and so does my mom. Now those are the main people in my family. Me and my mom live alone so my dad is a different story when it comes to "living" wise. He lives 5 cities away but I go to his house every weekend, well the weekends I can. Here are the good things. My mom: she is always looking over me and always protects me. My dad well, the only good thing is that I sure do have a lot of clothes. (it doesn't mean that i make him buy me stuff its just that he's really generous.

Everyone request me as a friend,
peace and love, alexis nicole. see i told u my life and school life was "just complicated"!!

i love my familly but sometime drives me nuts
you are so right
OMG! Most of this is true.

To me, family consist of the most important people in your life... I'm thankful for every single one of them!

Mom: Her cockyness drives me nuts! Her quirkyness makes me love her! How she's always here for me through thick and thin... no matter what is why I'm thankful for her.

Dad: His famouse line "...come/can do my back.." makes me go off the wall crazy but his "yes" to all my outings makes up for it. I'm thankful that I even have the same dad as my siblings and that he's still in the life of mine and my family's (besides the fact of all that money "daddy" pulls in :D )

Bubby: Bubs is my oldest brother... He makes 21 this month... It drives me nuts how he's such an older brother and is so over protective over my other sibs and I but mostly me because I'm the "baby" in the family although I'm not the youngest. Honestly, not trying to brag...I'm the spoiled brat... Besides Bubby and I are the closest in the family. I love him to death... I'm super thankful for him.. without him I'd be stuck at every place without a ride and so on lock down (under the supervision of my parents). Because of him I have freedom (well as long as he's with me... daddy's order!)

Sis: The way she acts so dumb-foundedly blond irritates the heck out of me. But the way she's always got my back is what I love about her. I thank God for her because she's my first sibling and in Hawaii... Without the first, there's usually none to follow... This bringing me to my second sister.

Sissy: Her bleep'n stubborness erks the flippin' butterflies out of me! But How she's my "buddy" and "partner in crime" it's worth the bleep. I'm thankful for her, she keeps me in line and helps me to deal with myself.

Boo Bear: Boo Bear is my baby brother. He and I are 13 years apart. He drives me nuts because he's 110% all boy and does everything a boy does. He makes all you fella's out there proud to be a boy. I love how he just randomly makes us laugh and says the craziest things ever. I'm thankful for him especially becuase he's the one that keeps us all on our toes.

Terangi: Terangi "Wind/Breath/Life" in tahitian... Is my man... whom all men in my life approve of :) He drives me nuts in everyway, but always knows how to make me fall in love with him over and over... I'm thankful for him because he's my dream man.. the one I prayed for... Thank You Lord!
